About this camp
Campers will dive into A Boy Called Bat through partner, group, and independent reading while exploring themes of empathy, friendship, and caring for animals. Students will also conduct short nonfiction research about skunks, connecting reading and science as they create their own summer project poster. By the end of the week, campers will have a clear plan for their summer project—complete with ideas, notes, and illustrations—and will have already made meaningful progress toward completing it. Students need to bring their own copy of the book and a notebook.
